On May 23, 2021, Sunday, the Bicol Medical Center – Department of Psychiatry in Brgy. Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur was placed on total lockdown after 15 patients, and a healthcare worker tested positive for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Bicol Medical Center would like to inform the public that its COVID-19 and isolation wards for suspect COVID-19 patients are now UNDER FULL CAPACITY.
A year ago, the Bicol Medical Center became one of the DOH’s COVID-19 Testing Centers because of its SARS-CoV-2 Testing Laboratory (Cartridge Based Polymerase Chain Reaction). BMC follows the DOH Memorandum Order No. 2020-0376, which stipulates the prioritization of COVID-19 Testing using Xpert Xpress SARS-CoV-2 Cartridges.
