BMC Regional Cancer Center launches 1st Online Appointment System

NAGA CITY, June 18 (PIA) –- In a virtual press conference held June 16, Wednesday, the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) formally launched its 1st Regional Cancer Center Online Appointment System, primarily to provide ease and convenience to all cancer patients seeking treatment in the said hospital.

BMC staff, psych patients, recover from “mild” COVID-19

Nurse Sunta Panoy was one of the healthcare staff of the BMC – Department of Psychiatry who stayed in the lockdown facility to continue her duty despite the threats of the Coronavirus disease

On May 23, 2021, Sunday, the Bicol Medical Center – Department of Psychiatry in Brgy. Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur was placed on total lockdown after 15 patients, and a healthcare worker tested positive for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

BMC’s GeneXpert Laboratory marks its first anniversary

A year ago, the Bicol Medical Center became one of the DOH’s COVID-19 Testing Centers because of its SARS-CoV-2 Testing Laboratory (Cartridge Based Polymerase Chain Reaction). BMC follows the DOH Memorandum Order No. 2020-0376, which stipulates the prioritization of COVID-19 Testing using Xpert Xpress SARS-CoV-2 Cartridges.

NAGA CITY, Bicol - The Bicol Medical Center purchased a new 4k laparoscopic tower and it arrived last Friday, April 30, 2021.

With this new 4k laparoscopic tower, our hospital surgeons will be able to perform advanced procedures (such as gallbladder, colon, hernia, and thoracic surgeries), through keyhole incisions (band-aid surgery) which is the gold standard worldwide.
