BMC opens its Cardiac Center: State-of-the-art Cardiovascular care more accessible to Bicolanos

Last October 19, 2021, the BMC Cardiac Center was formally inaugurated. Key officials from the Department of Health attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and inauguration, including Undersecretary Dr. Roger P. Tong-an, Assistant Secretary Dr. Maria Francia Laxamana, Assistant Secretary Nestor Santiago Jr., and DOH- Center for Health and Development V Regional Director Dr. Ernie Vera. Former DOH Secretary Dr. Enrique T. Ona and former Undersecretary Teodoro Herbosa were also present, together with Bicol officials such as Camarines Sur 3rd District Representative Gabriel Bordado Jr. and Office of the Presidential Assistant for Bicol Affairs Usec. Marvel Clavecilla.

BMC Receives Three HFNC Oxygen Machines from Tzu Chi Foundation and the Office of the Vice President


NAGA CITY — On Wednesday, October 27th, the Bicol Medical Center accepted donations from the Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation in partnership with the Office of the Vice President.

VP Leni Robredo, together with Mr. Antonio Tan, Ms. Therese Tan, Dr. Geoffrey Lopisilio, Mr. Willy Ngo, and six volunteers from the foundation came by to deliver three (3) units of HFNC oxygen machines, twenty-five (25) Tzu Chi-made foldable beds, and sixty-four (64) blankets.

With the theme "Safe maternal and newborn care," Bicol Medical Center joins the World Health Organization in celebrating Hospital Patient Safety.

Dr. Ronnie Gregorio Gigantone, Chairperson of the Hospital Patient Safety Committee, encourages the BMC staff to advocate for patient safety.
