NAGA CITY, Bicol - The Local Government Unit of Naga hailed the Bicol Medical Center as one of its Vaccination Champions to the hospital's invaluable support and partnership with the City's Vaccination Campaign against COVID-19.
The award was given to BMC on June 17, 2022, at Plaza Quezon, Naga City, celebrating the City's 74th Charter Anniversary. Dr. Jose Manuel Rañola III, Head of the Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Disease (EREID Center), Dr. Natalie Lazaro, Head of the Public Health Unit, Dr. Niña Gregorio, Head of Occupational Safety and Health, and Ms. Dinah Zenarosa, Health Education and Promotion Officer III, received the recognition in BMC's behalf.
"The BMC community, particularly the vaccination team, are truly grateful for the recognition given by LGU Naga. This is one example wherein communities and agencies help and support each other to achieve a common goal." Dr. Rañola said.
"This award recognizes and validates all the hard work of every BMC vaccination team member in response to the Covid-19 pandemic by helping the community attain a higher rate of Covid-19 vaccination." Dr. Lazaro added.
As COVID-19 is still not over, the BMC EREID Center and Public Health Unit advise the public to continue to adhere to the minimum health standards prescribed by the government.
Get vaccinated, secure COVID-19 booster doses, and follow health protocol by washing hands, wearing a facemask, and maintaining social distancing.
