BMC's COVID Wards under FULL CAPACITY

The Bicol Medical Center would like to inform the public that its Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Disease (EREID) ward and COVID-19 isolation wards are now UNDER FULL CAPACITY.

Based on the BMC - Hospital Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (HESU) data, our hospital recorded a daily average of 100 patients in the first and second week of September. However, from September 13 to September 26, our hospital has recorded an average of 157 patients daily.

And as of 8:00 am today, September 27, 2021, our hospital has 176 COVID-19 suspected (14), probable (12), and confirmed (150) patients occupying our 176 dedicated beds for COVID-19. Also, we have nine patients in the Emergency Room waiting to be transferred to COVID-19 isolation wards.

Furthermore, due to the COVID-19 surge we are experiencing in the region, BMC may not accommodate hemodialysis patients from outside centers until further notice.

Thank you for understanding.

Mag-ingat po kita gabos!
